GCF's and LCM's
Today is math we went over some of the things we need to know to complete 3.1 in the textbook. We learnt about how to find the greatest common factor (GCF) of two and even three numbers, and the lowest common multiple (LCM) of two numbers. Mr. Maksymchuk showed us ways to find the LCM by factoring the two numbers. By taking the GCF of the numbers and multiplying them together you can find the LCM.

This math class we started chapter 3. We recieved notes on 3.1, and learned about the definition of a factor as a noun and a verb. Mr.Maksymchuk showed us a useful website called http://www.wolframalpha.com . You can ask any qusetion, and the website will give you the correct answer. Also, we learned how to do prime factorizing. With this, you can take a number and figure out the factors of it.

Today in math class we did mental math and Mr. Maksymchuk asked everyone why we are not going to math tutoring after school. After that we went over a couple questions in 2.5. He also reminded us that there is an assesment on Thursday. We can take a retest if we don't get a good mark, but then you have to do accelerated math.
